34 Insiders. One Camera. Still No Evidence.
"The Age of Disclosure" put dozens of named government insiders on camera alleging an eighty-year cover-up. It became Prime Video's highest-grossing documentary, and it proves nothing.
Dan Farah's *The Age of Disclosure* premiered at SXSW on March 9, 2025 and reached theatres and Prime Video on November 21. It became the highest-grossing documentary in the platform's history. 16
Its structure is its argument: thirty-four named members of the U.S. government, military and intelligence community, on camera, describing what the film calls an eighty-year global cover-up of non-human intelligence and a covert international race to reverse-engineer recovered technology. 13
The participant list is why it travelled. It includes Marco Rubio, the sitting Secretary of State; General James Clapper, former Director of National Intelligence; Luis Elizondo, former head of the Pentagon's AATIP; and retired Colonel Karl Nell, formerly the Army's director for the UAP Task Force. 13
What thirty-four people can and cannot establish
They can establish that a large number of serious people, several with direct programme access, are willing to attach their names and faces to this claim. That is not nothing. It is a substantial change from 2017, when a single named official was extraordinary.
They cannot establish the claim. Testimony scales in volume, not in kind: thirty-four accounts of a concealed programme, none accompanied by a document, an image or a physical sample, remain thirty-four accounts. *Skeptic* made this case at length in its review, arguing the film substitutes the density of its cast for evidence and never closes the gap. 5
A documentary is not a disclosure mechanism. It is a persuasion mechanism, and the two are easy to confuse when the people being persuasive held real clearances.
The value that is actually there
The film's most useful contributions are the specific, checkable ones — including additional detail from military personnel about the Vandenberg incidents, the same cluster that reached sworn congressional testimony two months earlier. 7
Specific claims from named witnesses about dated events at identified installations can be investigated. Sweeping claims about eighty-year cover-ups cannot. The film contains both, and the coverage overwhelmingly amplified the second kind. 4
